Audition Information

Roles are available for adults, teenagers, and children age 8+.

FOR ACTORS AGES 8-14:
There are three options for monologues. Actors should select the monologue that they feel most connected to and come with the piece of their choosing memorized.

  1. Charlotte's monologue on pages 24-25
  2. Charlotte's monologue on page 39
  3. Wilbur's monologue on page 53

FOR ALL ACTORS OVER AGE 14:
All other actors should come with a contemporary piece that does not exceed 90 seconds. Cold readings may be requested after all monologues and some direction offered.

Walk-ins will be seen as time allows. Video auditions will be accepted from those unable to attend either day of auditions.

All rehearsals and performances will be held at the Elizabeth Seton Center, 1900 Pioneer Ave, Pittsburgh (Brookline), PA 15226. Rehearsals will typically be held on weekday evenings and weekends; schedule TBD.

A young girl named Fern saves a runt piglet named Wilbur, only to discover he will be sent to the slaughterhouse once he grows up. Desperate to save her friend, Wilbur turns to Charlotte, a wise and caring spider, who devises a plan to make him a local celebrity. Through their unlikely friendship, they embark on a heartwarming adventure that celebrates loyalty, bravery, and the circle of life.
